If you are presenting an Oral Session during Concurrent Sessions 1, 2, or 3
  • These are the traditional oral sessions as in past ACCI conferences. There are multiple presentations during each 90-minute sessions.
  • There are four rooms with presentations taking place concurrently.
  • Each room has a topic, and a moderator.
  • Fifteen (15) minutes is reserved at the end of each time period for discussion across all presentations. No questions will be permitted until then as it may decrease the presentation time for subsequent presenters. The moderator will manage the discussion.
  • If there are three presentations during the 90 minutes - 15 minutes, that allows 75 minutes or 25 minutes for each of the three presentations, including very quick introductions.
  • If there are four presentations during the 90 minutes - 15 minutes, that allows about 18 minutes for each of the four presentations, including very quick introductions.
  • Internet is complimentary in all the meeting space. However, please let Demaris Ford, Administrative Assistant know if you intend to use internet. If we have too many online at once, we want to ensure we have enough bandwidth. You should always have a backup plan to present in case something is not working with live internet.

If you are presenting in Dual General Sessions

  • A dual general session is a cross between concurrent oral session format and a general session. Participants will only attend one of two, not one of four happening at the same time.
  • There will be more than one presentation in each session, so you should look up the room and time, above, and see who is presenting in the same room with you.
  • There will be a moderator.
  • Each group will share the time allotted, and the remainder will be for a moderated question and answer period across presentations.
  • You will be contacted by the conference office to schedule a phone call to sort out the process so that it goes smoothly. Please watch for an email to set up a GoToMeeting for this discussion.

If you are presenting a Featured Research Session

New Information

  • When you find your session in the agenda, it has been assigned a number. This number will be on the poster boards so you can find where yours is to be placed.
  • For numbers 1-14 where the session is 11:45-12:45 on Thursday: Please put up your poster between 7:30 pm on Wednesday and 7:00 am on Thursday. Take it down at 12:45 please.
  • For numbers 21-38 where the session is Thrusday from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm: Please set up your poster between 12:45 pm to 4:45 pm. Remove it at 6;30 pm please.

  • The poster UPDATE: May be a maximum 4 feet high (1.22 m) by 8 feet wide (2.44 m) as this is the dimension of the board on which you will pin your poster. Sorry for confusion.
  • We will provide pins to pin up your poster.
  • As there will not be electricity or a table space, please do not bring a computer. Tablets are okay, but the focus and main points should be on your poster.

  • It is required that you use this ACCI logo and the URL, www.consumerinterests.org, near the logo on your poster. This should be the same size as the University or Organization logo on your poster. There are no exceptions to this requirement. Download a high resolution logo image here
  • It is suggested that you hand-carry your poster with you to the conference.
