Frustration Busters

  • Membership is required to attend the ACCI Conference. While this appears to be new, non-member fees in years past were always registration + membership cost. Thus, the pricing has not changed, only the way you login will look a bit different this year. 
  • Registration will open by October, 2017.
  • Registration fees are the same as 2017! Early Bird through April 17, 2018
    • $500 Early Bird Professional Member; $550 after April 17, 2018
    • $600 Early Bird Professional Member if you stay at another hotel; $650 after April 17, 2017
    • $325 Early Bird Student or Retiree; $350 after April 17, 2018
    • $425 Early Bird Student or Retiree if you stay at another hotel; $450 after April 17, 2018.

  • ONLY use Google Chrome! Edge or Internet Explorer will simply not work correctly.
  • Plan enough time to do all of these things as an incomplete registration will not be saved for later editing.
  • #1 Make your hotel reservation first and make a note of the confirmation number as you will be asked for it during the online registration process.
  • You must be a member to register. If your membership is not up to date, you will be able to become a member at the beginning. You will receive two receipts, one for membership and one for conference. We can, upon request, provide you with a consolidated receipt.
  • There is a "check box" to request a consolidated receipt. Kindly do not request a consolidated receipt if you are not including any membership dues or renewals.
  • If you have trouble, call us right away. We can save you frustration.
Hotel Reservations are Open
  • Site hotel: Sheraton Sand Key Resort - Clearwater, FL, USA
  • Rate is $194 plus 13% tax until April 15, 2018.
  • Receive $100 discount off registration for staying at the site hotel.
  • To make hotel reservations, you must call the hotel directly at (727) 595-1611 and use reservation code AA13AA for ACCI's Annual Conference.

  • A small block of rooms at the Federal Per Diem is available. Call the ACCI office for details.
  • Students needing to share a room, please contact the ACCI office for more information.

Notes: You may extend your stay at ACCI's contracted rate up to three (3) days either side of the contracted dates of May 15-21, 2018, subject to availability. There is no resort fee and no charge for parking at the hotel or for internet anywhere on property. A one night's deposit will be charged at the time the reservation is made.

Goals of the Conference

  • Learning about programs and research in the wide field of consumer science,
  • Networking to learn what others are doing,
  • Motivation to become refreshed, stimulated in your own work, and to keep up the new connections made here.

Conference Objectives: At the end of the conference, participants will be able to: (1) name at least three new research projects of which they were unaware; (2) describe at least three new professional contacts; and (3) explain ACCI’s mission and vision, and identify at least one way in which you could become active in support of work in the consumer's interest.
