You are cordially invited to attend the 7th Annual FDIC Consumer Research Symposium sponsored by the FDIC’s Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection.  The conference will be held on Friday, October 13, in the Sheila C. Bair Auditorium at the FDIC L. William Seidman Center in Arlington, Virginia. The symposium will feature recent research on consumers’ capabilities, knowledge, preferences, and experiences in markets for financial products and services, as well as the effects of public policy interventions and new regulations on consumers, households, communities, and financial institutions.  FDIC Chairman Martin J. Gruenberg will provide opening remarks, and Dr. Christopher Herbert, Managing Director of the Joint Center for Housing Studies at Harvard University, will give the Distinguished Guest Lecture.  For additional information, including the research papers and presenters featured on the program, please see the symposium agenda. To attend the symposium in person or sign-up to view a live webcasting of the event, please visit the symposium website.  There is no registration fee.  However, participants are encouraged to register at their earliest convenience, as space is limited. Please submit any questions or requests for additional information to the conference organizers at [email protected], and don’t forget to share this invitation with interested colleagues.  We look forward to seeing you in October!
