Presenter Information - ACCI Annual Conference 2025

If you are presenting an Concurrent Oral Session:

  • These are the traditional oral sessions as in past ACCI conferences. There are multiple presentations during each 90-minute period.
  • There are four rooms with presentations taking place concurrently.
  • Each room has a moderator who will keep you on time.
  • About ten (10) minutes is reserved at the end of each 90 minutes for discussion across all presentations. Please don't ask for questions at the end of your time, as it may decrease the presentation time for subsequent presenters. The moderator will manage the discussion.
    • If there are three presentations during the 90 minutes minus 5 minutes for the Moderator to welcome and introduce, minus another 10 minutes for discussion at the very end of all oral presentations, that allows 75 minutes or 25 minutes for each of the three presentations.
    • If there are two presentations during the 90 minutes this allows about 35 minutes for each of the two presentations.
    • If there are four presentations during the 90 minutes this allows approximately 18 minutes for each of the four presentations.
  • Please let us know if you intend to use video or sound from the computer as part of your presentation as we must plan for additional equipment.
  • What AV will be in the room? Each room will have a Windows laptop computer screen, projector, cart, and connectors.
    • Please bring your presentation on a thumb drive for loading on the computer as soon as you arrive in the presentation room (do not plan to present from a cloud server as there will be no internet).
    • Breakout rooms will not have microphones.
  • It is required that you use our template for your presentation slides here.

If you are presenting a Featured Research Poster Session:

  • Previews! You will have one minute (60-seconds) to give a brief description of your poster at a general session. Please prepare this short introduction ahead of time and practice it so that you can actually do this in 60-seconds. Start with I am (your name) and I am from (organization/institution). Do NOT list all authors at this time. State your poster title. Describe what it is about. We will time you! You will line up in number order. Look for the time you will present your 60-second overview in the conference schedule event app.
  • What size is the poster board? The Boards are 4 ft x 8 ft and this year you may use the whole space.
  • Where do I find my poster number?
    • Look in the conference schedule for your poster number that will start with a 1 for first session in the morning and 2 for second session in the afternoon. Poster boards will have numbers on them, in sequential order, so that other attendees can find your poster easily. Only put your poster up on the board that has your assigned number!
  • There are two Poster Sessions.
    • Poster Session 1 (poster numbers 100's): Present your one-minute preview at the Opening General Session on Tuesday, April 15. Please sit up front. You will present your 60-second preview in poster number order. Your session is from 8:00 am - 8:50 am on Wednesday, April 16, and you are expected to stand by your poster during that time and discuss it with other attendees. Breakfast is served. Take down your poster at the end of the session.
    • Poster Session 2 (poster numbers 200's): Present your one-minute preview at the General Session 2 on Wednesday, April 16. Please sit up front. You will present your 60-second preview in poster number order. Your Poster Session, Conversation and Libation, is from 5:15 pm - 6:15 pm on Wednesday, April 16, and you are expected to stand by your poster during that time and discuss it with other attendees. Take down your poster immediately at the end of the session. Food, beer, and wine are featured during this special poster session.
  • The poster may be a maximum 4 feet high (1.22 m) by 8 feet wide (2.44 m) as this is the dimension of the board on which you will hang your poster.
  • We will provide Velcro or pins to put up your poster up.
  • As there will not be electricity or a table space, please do not bring a computer. Tablets are okay, but the focus and main points should be on your poster. If you want to provide a URL to your webpage or research, print it on a business card that you can hand out.
  • It is a very good idea to bring your business cards with you and to have them easy to reach and share.
  • It is required that you use our poster template here that already contains the right sized logo.
  • It is suggested that you hand-carry your poster with you to the conference.
  • This is a sample of what the poster board will look like:
