Journal of Consumer Affairs Editorial Team
The American Council on Consumer Interests is pleased to announce the 2023 Journal of Consumer Affairs Editorial Team. We thank the previous editor, Ronald Paul Hill, Dean’s Professor of Marketing and Public Policy at the American University, Kogod School of Business, for his dedication to the journal as well as outgoing Associate Editors Patryk Babiarz, Associate Professor, Financial Planning, Housing and Consumer Economics, University of Georgia, and Liyin Jin, Professor of Marketing, Fudan University, for their service to the journal.

Brenda J. Cude, Executive Editor
Dr. Cude is Professor Emeritus, Department of Financial Planning, Housing and Consumer Economics, University of Georgia. She has been a dedicated member of ACCI throughout her career and has served the organization in several roles including Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors, Associate Editor of JCA as well as a member of Editorial Review Board. She has published widely and is a respected consumer advocate in the area of insurance regulation.

Lucie Ozanne, Senior Editor
Dr. Ozanne is Professor of Marketing, in the Department of Management, Marketing and Tourism, at the University of Canterbury, in Christchurch, New Zealand. She has been an Associate Editor of JCA and a member of JCA''s Editorial Review Board. She has published widely and is a respected consumer advocate in the areas of transformative consumer research and marketing and public policy.

Dee Warmath, Senior Editor
Dr. Warmath is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Financial Planning, Housing and Consumer Economics at the University of Georgia. She has been a member of ACCI since 2016 and has served the organization as an Associate Editor of JCA, member of JCA’s Editorial Review Board, chair of the Conference Planning Committee, and member of the ACCI board. She has published in a variety of outlets and is recognized for her work in consumer well-being, especially in the financial domain.

Rui Yao, Senior Editor
Dr. Yao is Professor, Division of Applied Social Sciences, University of Missouri. She is a Past President of ACCI, served on the Board of Directors, and has been a proud member of the organization throughout her academic career. She is dedicated to promoting ACCI’s Mission and Vision. Her interdisciplinary research publications provide implications for stakeholders interested in consumer interests. She has also served as a member of JCA's Editorial Review Board.

Piotr Bialowolski, Associate Editor
Dr. Bialowolski specializes in applied economics and quantitative methods for applied research in the areas of household financial behaviors and well-being. He is currently economics professor at Kozminski University (Poland). Previously he worked at Harvard University (US) and the University of Turin (Italy). His research interests and publications focus on the following research topics: (1) application of micro-level data for the impact evaluation of financial and social behavior on well-being and health, (2) financial well-being, (3) market and consumer segmentations, (4) survey design, biases and forecasting with survey data.

Luisa Blanco, Associate Editor
Dr. Blanco is a Professor at Pepperdine University School of Public Policy. She is a development economist and currently leads community-based participatory research projects focused on fostering economic inclusion. She leverages digital communications technology and tools to improve access to information and promote behavioral change among minorities to improve their financial wellbeing and health outcomes. She has special interest in issues related to financial behavior and retirement preparedness among minorities.

Yunhee Chang, Associate Editor
Dr. Chang is Professor of Nutrition and Hospitality Management at the University of Mississippi. She has been an active member of ACCI since 2003 and has served on numerous committees for the organization. Her research focuses on the effects of poverty and financial exclusion on the nutrition and health of individuals and families.

Justine Rapp Farrell, Associate Editor (continuing)
Dr. Farrell is Associate Professor, Department of Marketing, University of San Diego Knauss School of Business. She has served the Journal of Consumer Affairs since 2017, starting as a member of the Editorial Review Board and began her term as an Associate Editor in February 2021. Her research focuses on understanding and protecting vulnerable population groups, including addiction, mental health, and social media.

Marlene Haupt, Associate Editor
Dr. Haupt is Professor of Economics and Social Policy at the RWU, Ravensburg-Weingarten University (Germany). She has been a member of ACCI for over ten years and has served the organization as an International Committee Member and Chair. She has published on comparative social policy, pension systems, and financial literacy. Dr. Haupt was recently a visiting researcher at the University of Georgia in the US and at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in Italy.

Elizabeth A. Minton, Associate Editor (continuing)
Dr. Minton is an associate professor of marketing at the University of Wyoming (UW) who conducts research on healthy and sustainable consumption as well as religion’s influence on consumers and business. She has publications in the Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Service Research, Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, Journal of Advertising, and Journal of Consumer Affairs, among others, as well as a coauthored book on religion and marketing.

Tae-Young Pak, Associate Editor
Dr. Pak is an associate professor of Consumer Science and a faculty affiliate of the Convergence Program for Social Innovation at Sungkyunkwan University. His research focuses on issues related to health and behavioral economics, especially in the areas of healthcare access, health-wealth accumulation, and decision-making under mental illness. He has published in leading journals in consumer science and has served on the Editorial Review Board of JCA.

Vanessa Perry, Associate Editor (continuing)
Dr. Perry is Professor of Marketing, Strategic Management and Public Policy at the George Washington University School of Business. Over the course of her career, she has served as JCA Special Issue Editor, Associate Editor, and a member of the Editorial Review Board. Her research examining public policy issues in housing and financial markets has been published widely and is often cited by policymakers, industry practitioners, and the media.

Chuanyi Tang, Associate Editor
Dr. Tang is Associate Professor of Marketing, Strome College of Business, Old Dominion University. He is a member of ACCI and has served on JCA’s Editorial Review Board. Dr. Tang is also a member of the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of Business Research and the Journal of Advertising Research. His research interests include consumer well-being, services marketing, and consumer online communication. His research has appeared in the Journal of Consumer Affairs, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Service Research, Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, and others.
